REMUERA LEAVES LONDON.
THE VOYAGE RECOMMENCED. XOW AX CIL-BL'R.VLVG STEAMER, A cable received this afternoon announces that the New. Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rernuera sailed j from London yesterday for JJunedin. This is her twenty-seventh voyage, but she is no longer a coal-burning steamer. In conjunction with repairs to her hull an oil-burning installation has been fitted, and the Remuera is the first ■ steamer oi the New Zealand Shipping i Company's fleet to run on oil fuel. For five mouths the steamer has been I out of commission, undergoing repairs to damage caused by a collision in the English Channel on July 21st with the Ellerman liner Marengo, When she was en route from London to Auckland. As a result of that collision the Remuera was damaged in three holds, and -when she limped into Portland under her own steam and landed her passengers it was found that she had been holed on the starboard side 'below the ■waterline, one Ihold being filled with water. ' The Marengo also suffered considerable damage, but was able to proceed to Hull,
