I The fire which destroyed a wooden building occupied by Lutjohann's billiard table factory was very raid and intense, and threatened the adjoining Salvation Army barracks in brick, also Wildey's brick printing works. Lutjohann's building was owned by Mr. McCormick. The loss on the building and stock is not ascertainable. Wildey's had a lucky save . hut considerable damage was done to I stock and machinery by water. The loss included quantities of stationery and railway timetables. The insurances on Lutjohann's building are £2OO and contents £1.700; Wildey's building, £2.000: machinery and plant, £3,0.35; ticket machine, £600; stock in store, £SOO.
