THE AMERICAN VISIT.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) I' WELLINGTON, Monday. At a meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to-night, it was decided to offer Masterton February 20 in lieu of February 21 for the visit of the American athletes, the latter date being People's Day at the agricultural show. The Auckland centre wired suggesting the cancellation of the tour as Ray Thompson and Paddock were out of the team. It was stated that a. reply haxt been sent that this could not be done. The Hamilton centre was given till January 0 to increase its guarantee to £.'•lo for the visit of the Americans, and other centres which have not yet replied are to be a-ked to reply immediately. Arrangements are to 'be made, if possible, for a day to be given to Camiiridsre, Auckland having suggested this, ijiit it waft decided that Auckland's <<-!iarant<-e could not be reduced by such an arrangement.
