Tho standard of the displays in the retail shops at this time of ihe year gives proof, if any were needed, that our shopkeepers anticipate a wonderful demand during the festival season that is now here. Excellent judgment is shown on the part of those who make it their business and their pleiTsure to cater for the wants of the people, and all who will buy their needs for the summer or for tlie holidays will be well advised to do their shopping early. Everyone is now once again braced and buoyant with the anticipation tof good days in store, and all have every reason to look Torward to a period of continued prosperity. The position of our industries gives hope and ample scope for the future, and the approach of Christmas and the New Yearpends additional impetus to trade.
