The M.C.I' team of amateurs, who open a tour of New Zealand on Friday with a match against Auckland, will I arrive in the Auckland harbour by the s.s. Moeraki about 5 p.m. to-uay. Klynn, chairman and secretary respectively of the Auckland I Cricket Association. In the absence of Mr. A. C. MaoLaron, who is travelling by another route and is expected to arri\e by train from Wellington in the morning, the visiting team will probably be under the management of Mr. J. C. Hartley, an Oxford and Sussex player of Mr. Mat-Laren's time, who is also associated with the team. It is probable that the local officials will board the Moeraki in the stream and welcome the travellers to the Dominion. A civic reception and welcome to the city and ; Dominion will bo tendered the visitors at the Town Hall Concert Chamber at 10 a.m. to-morrow.. THE WANGANUI MATCH. MINOR PROVINCES" ELEVEN. It has now been decided that the minor associations will play 11 and not 13 players against the' English cricket team iii the match to he held at Wanganui. The minor associations' team is: Holland, London, Orr. Orton. Williams (Wanganui). 'Gitmoilr. Hughes (Waikato), Kingston. Clark. Lambert, Dr. Maunsell (Taranaki). Reserve: Wood (Wanganui). . The Wanganui players selected have been prominent in the winning and holding of the Hawke Cup for Wanganui, and two of the Taranaki men (Kingston and Lambert) are well known to Ancklanders. Kingston is the international Rugby football fullback, who proved himself a business-like wicket-keeper and a reliable batsman in Auckland cricket several seasons (>aek.
