This is actually the opening lamb sale of the export se:i-on in the South Island, and the figure augurs well f.ir the grower. The entry of lambs totalled 8011. Tenpence per lb is quite up to wartime prices, and is equal to 13d in London. A locs] e\pert considers tin; it is not unlikely tliat New Zealand consumers will lie paving 1 Mi for their Christmas l.imb.
