The Staff of Life Residents of Whangarei and surrounding districts will be glad to hear that the growing demand for the high quality bread made and supplied by mc, has encouraged and compelled the extension of the business carried on in Vine Street, Whangarei. Two years ago when that bakery was taken over, I had to contend with transport difficulties, which necessitated curtailment of the service until opportunity for extension came. The splendid support accorded mc by the public of Whangarei, Kamo, Ruatangata, Kauri, Hikurangi, Maungatapere, Poroti and Portland has enabled the realisation of this expansion to meet the needs of a prosperous district. • NortEland Model Bakery The new commodious Bakery in Lower Cameron Street is a wonderful transformation in appearance and facilities compared with the old premises in Vine Street, which constituted a landmark in the town. The "Northland Model Bakery" is the largest and most complete establishment of its kind in the whole of North Auckland. It is equipped with the latest electrically-driven machinery and lighting set for the making and baking of Bread, Small Goods and Cakes in the most modern, expeditious and hygienic manner. The two ovens have each a carrying capacity of 340 loaves, and the general arrangements make for ideal baking efficiency. There is ample storage room for stocks of flour and bakers' requisites, and a convenient garage for the motor delivery vans—all under one roof and easy of control. With Thanks and Assurance, I Extend Festive Greetings to all Customers. \ C. R. Knowles THE BAKER : WHANGAREI. 'Phones: 451 and 438. December, 1922.
