ACCIDENTS.
TWO BOTI HWUBI3D. 1 OXE TALIS DOWN" A CL.IFF. \ When -attending a school picnic at MotuUpu yesterday afternoon a boy named Desmond Campbell, aged 16, fell down a steep bank to the beach, a distance of about 30ft. and received injuries to his body and facial abrasions, -which necessitated his removal to the ' hospital. It appears that he was walking along the cliff with some other boys. ] -and suddenly disappeared, being found lafczr lying on the beach. FBiillip Power, 15 years of age. residing at 18, Abbotsford Street,' Newmarket, was severely burned about the face and | hands yesterday as the result of a blow , lamp, which he was using in cleaning a chassis of a lorry, exploding. He was j taken to the hospital. While working a wood lathe in Mr. .T. \ Edwards' saddletree factory in Wellesley ! Street yesterday, Mr. E. Hanhain, 23 years of age, had his hand caugiht by the knives when feeding the machine. He ' was taken to the hospital where it was | found necessary to amputate the four fingers of his left hand from the middle joint and also part of the thumb.
