J Delicately expressed was Scene 11., and I the eolci were tastefully sustained by I Miss Kvelyn Lynch. A resolute delivery was obtained of "A Warrior Conifs," and a vivid and accelerated performance wa> secured of "I'ntil the Hero's Spear." The male voices gave a canta'bile rendering of "Farewell,' , and a tellina climax h»k made in "There the ICrose of Cieorgf Must Wave." Broad am! diirniried singing marked the interpretation of the Epilogue, whilst a grandiose performance was secured of the finale, -Whose 'Empire of Splendour." 'Schumann's Concerto in A Minor, optiß 51, received a splendid renderins jby Miss Dora Judson and the orchestra. Admirable precision, neat octaves, rich chording, fluent arpeggios, and clearness of passage playing marked the pianist'e execution of the Allegro. A beautiful canta'bile was revealed in the Andante, brilliantly rendered was the cadenza, gracefully played was the "Intermezzo," and a vivacious and brilliant reading was secured of the finale of the Allegro. lAt its close the gifted pianist was enthusiastically encored. Sijrnor C'«saroni wae heartiiy recalled after hie tastetul delivery of Verdi's ''Infelire' , and his effective singing of Meyerbeer's "Pif PofT." The ' orchestra, skilfully led by Miss Whitelaw, admirably played the i instrumental parts, Mr. Colin 'Muston ably directed the performance, and Mr. Cyril Tow-sey acted as accompanist. Handel's '\Me»wiah'' will be immediately rehearsed for the Christmas concert on Thursday evening, December 21st.
