COCKATOO ISLAND DOCK.
SYDXEY, thir- day. The Commonwealth has received two offers for the purchase of Cockatoo dock. A sviidicate of engineers offered a miland Mr. Green, a member of the House of Commons at present in Sydney, was instructed by an English steel firm to endeavour to acquire the dockyard. The Government announced that it is not for sale.—(A. and X T -Z. Cable.)
