When the tape lifted Dovelet was quickest to begin, followed by Klllashandra. Tama-a-roa, and Bonny Canny. Crossing the top, Dovelet and Koynl Blood were In close company, with Pavo, Tama-a-roa, Jolly Princess nnd Kiliasbandra most prominent of the others. Dovelet and Koyal Blood were stiii together as they turned ror home, with Pavo and Tama-a-roa bandy, and tbe quartet had the finish to themselves. Dovelet getting the verdict, by a length from Royal Blood, while Pavo was placed third, a length and a half further back, and 1 Tama-a-roa fourth.
