CRICKET.
- ■ ASSOCIATION" ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association will be held on WedI nesday evening, and there are several : matters of vital importance to the game locally that will have to be considered. What clubs will be admitted to senior competition Is certain to engage the attention of the meeting. Then there is the question lof grounds both as to number and condition, for Victoria Park and -the Domain are fur from satisfactory for llrst-lnss play, and the matter of tbe retention of the Hemneni ground Is one for serious consideration, from the fact that Inst year this involved the association in the loss of about £IW. Added to these questions is that of the obligation of the province's representatives to tour this season, and to meet IVellliiKton, Canterbury, nnd Otago. with possible arrangements, to play Southland and 31anawatu. To carry out this programme and 'keep the local cricket at a satlsfactory ot.indard will require not only a live and enthusiastic executive, but also the keenest support or the players ot all clubs.
