OBITUARY.

■ ■ ■ MRS. MARY STCBBS. The remains of Mrs. 'Mary Stubbs were interred this morning at Purewa Cemetery. Deceased had attained tho age of 90 years, and resided at Seafteld View Road at tho time of her death. Deceased came to Auckland with her late , husband, Mr. John Stubbs, from Wins--1 ford, Cheshire, nearly 40 years ago. Some 12 years ago Mrs. Stubbs had the misfortune to sustain an accident, ■which resulted in her leg being , amputated. Although 78 years of age 1 at the time Mr 3. Stubbs made a wonder- . fully rapid recovery. She retained her mental faculties unimpaired up to the i last. Her husband started a plant for recovering salt from sea-water at ' ' Rangitoto Island about 40 years ago, , I which, however, failed to prove a re--1 munerative venture. Deceased is survived by the following children. Messrs. ' J. H. Stubbs, J. Stubbs, C. Stubbs, and IF. Stubbs, Mrs. E. Inger nnd Miss M. [I E. Stubbs. MR. FREDERICK CALVERT.
