AERIAL POLICE BRIGADE.
~~ m In response to a general demand for th supervision of aerial traffic, the .New Yor Police Department Is about to organise a aerial police brigade, which will patrol tb air routes above the city in irwU machines. These will be armed wit machine guns, and thus be prepared f< any emergency. Complaints have recently been frequei regarding the practice of airmen in flying I low altitudes, over baseball grounds ar other crowded places while giving loop-th loop exhibitions. In case of an alt-ma losing control of bis machine and comlr to earth, many people would be likely ' lose their lives. On this account, airplanes will be pr hlbited from flying lower than 2000 ft whi passing over the cdty. Another menace has .been the lncreasli number of aerial "'jazz parties." whit threaten to become as great a nuisance i the "joy riding" motorists. Beer bottle It is said, have occasionally been hurli from airplanes t>y hilarious passenger who have contrived to evade the prohil tlon law by carrying supplies of liuu.>r In the clouds. These and other offenders wi receive attention from the "sky cops."
