Sue pleaded not guilty, and several police officers who had had her under observation for some time past, gave eviden ■<• that she was continually in company with undesirable people. The Bench sentenced her to two months' imprisonment. SHIP'S BUTCHER ASSAULTED. Two firemen belonging to the Dorset. •Benjamin Smith and Han;, Smith, admitted assaulting the sl-ip's butcher. T. P. Dobbs, yesterday. It was stated •by Sub-Inspector Till thnt the atensed went to the butcher's shop and struck Do'bbs. They complained that there were only six pieces of moat anions seven men. "You certainly seem to have got one or t'-vo to go on with,'' remarked Mr. Twohill, when the butcher was called to give evidence. The llcnch fined accused 40/ and costs each, DEFENCE CASES. Malcolm A. Blackburn was ordered lo pay 9/- costs for failing »o notify the Defence authorities of a change in his address. Phillip J. Orifiiths and Michael J. HefTern were each fined 10/- and costs 9/-. Walter O. Kerr and Colin B. K. Menzies £1 and coet» 0/-. Charles R. Stitehbury and Albert E. Wiles £3 and costs 9/-, and Cecil Kernohnn'nnd Cyril J. McCarthy were ordered to pay costs 9/- for failing to attend parades. BREACHES OF BY-LAWS. David O. Bridges. Alfred Bell, Ernest ,de Tourrctt and James Hepburn were ca«h fined If./- and 9/- costs for failing to notify the change of ownership of motor cars. William (Jill, John Marmont and Percy Levy were ordered to pay costs on similar charges. Ernest d 1 Tourrett was also fined £1 and costs 11/ for not having proper lights and £1 and //- coats for leaving a motor car facing the wrong way to traffic in a public thoroughfare. Ernest Baillcy was ordered to pay 11/- costs for not having a tail light 011 a motor car. Edward Brewer was fined 10/- and costs £2 17/----lor driving* on the wrong side of the street. C. Coward was lined it and costs £1 1/ for failing to observe the traffic signals. -lack Keytc wns lined Jtl and 11/- costs and Ashley J'oolv ll and 13/ costs for pillion riding.
