BLAZE AT MEDLOW.
SYDNEY, this day. Fire in the Hydro Majestic at Medlow Bath, near the lop of the Blue Mountains, caused damage estimated at £40,000. The fire started in the early hours of the morning, and fanned by a terrific gale, soon got out of control. It destroyed the famous corridor and art gallery, and finally left half the building in ruins. The Imildin<r and its contents were insured for £r>o,ooo.— (A. and N.Z.)
