' ' WIDE AREA SWEPT. TWELVE LIVES LOST. (Beceived 0.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 18. Forest fires swept a wide area in the eorth-east of Minnesota. Three villages Were wiped out by the flames. The death-roll so far as has been ascertained up to the present is twelve.—(A.■ and N.Z, Cable.)
