The steamer Omana arrived at Wellington from Adelaide on Thursday, with :t3OO tons of ceu'eral cargo and hardwood. I'rofoably the steamer will arrive here about "Wednesday or Thursday next. CABLE STEAMER IRIS. It is anticipated that the cable steamer Iris will return on Monday from Wellington. She will take in stores and supplies at this port, and sail about a day later for Australia. TWICKENHAM IN PORT. Arriving at Auckland this morning from Seychelles Island, via Southern ports, the Twickenham, 4891 tons (Captain R. C. Craggs), owned by the British Steamship Company, berthed at the King's wharf and commenced discharge of the balance of her superphosphate cargo, 1000 tons, to the agency of Messrs. Russell and Somers. The steamer loaded r>ooo tons of guano at St. l'ierre Island, nnd experienced fair weather until 200 miles south of Fremantle, after which variable wnds, moderate to strong, prevailed until approaching Newcastle. At Newcastle the steamer took ijj 1700 tons of bunker coal, and sailed for Bluff, whore she arrived on July 27, after a pood weather passase. At Bluff, however, a heavy sen was running, and the steamer did not enter the harbour until the morning after arrival. 330,0 tons o£ griano were discharged there, and then the steamer proceeded to Dunedin, where she arrived on the 10(h Inst., and discharged another TOO tons. Nothing is yet known of tbe future movements of the ship but it is expected that orders will be received by next Wednesday, when the guano will tre all discharged.
