WHEAT LOADING TRAGEDY.

BETTER INSPECTION WANTED. SYDXEY, August 16. At the inquest into the death of three men who were killed by a fall of bulk wheat which they were loading into the steamer Xorfolk on July 18, the coroner said that lie would not attempt to apportion blame, but no one seemed to have considered that human lives were endangered in the construction of the feeder, which collapsed. He suggested the Government inspection of feeders on wheat ships before they were allowed to De used, as it was not sufficient to trust to the knowledge of the captain, marine surveyor, or constructors.—A. and X.Z.
