Laden with general cargo from Adelaide and coal auil hnrilwooil from Newcastle the Omana arrived at Wellington early to-day to discharge part of the cargo, after wheh she comes to Auckland next week to complete discharge. ATHENIC IN PORT. From London, via Wellington, the White Star liner Athenic arrived at Auckland this morning and berthed nt the western side of the Queen's wharf to discharge a large quantity of general cargo and load produce for London. She is expected to be in port a week, before proceeding southwards. TRANS-PACIFIC STEAMERS. The Vnion Company advise that the Hauraki Is due at Honolulu about Friday, I'-Jth inst. She loads at the Pacific Ctiast ports during September for Auckland, "Wellington. Melbourne and Sydney. Waitemata from Pacific Coast ports if >xpeetert to clear San Francisco this week ' ir Nnpler. To discharge a large inward cargo the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Whnkatane. 7055 tons (Captain Burton Uavies), on her thirty-seventh voyage to New Zealnnd. arrived at Auckland this morning and berthed at the (Jueen's wharf. She bad an uneventful voyage, viu Panama, calling .it Pitcairn on the night of July 31 to land one bug and take in two hags of mail. On Tuesday night the Whakatane was able to hear the Bloemfontein by wireless. Included in the steamer's Auckland cargo are:—1500 boxes tin plates. , 70U cases galvanised wire, 1000 sacks ' cornflour. 400 cases whisky. 1000 bundles steel bars. KOO cases window glass 40 cases plate glass. GlO kegs bicarbonate of ' sodn, 420 coils wire. 720 reels barbed wire, 1000 bars iron, and sundries, including , paints, oil. and nails. It is expected that the Whakatane will sail for Wellington J early next week. I
