THIRD AJTSV&T. MEETING. A YEAR OF PHOGfKESS. At llip third iinnual -meeting of the Young Citizens' League, held yesterday afternoon, amongst those present was Mr. (;. Troup, of the Wellington Boys' Institute, and president of the branch of the League in that city. Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., president, in opening the business, said the past year had been one of great progress and success as far the Young Citizens' League was concerned. A .Vh-at was required was the extension of the work of the League throughout the whole Dominion. A delegation had with that object visited the Southern centres, and the new branches formed were accomplishinjr good work. The Christchurch brancA had greatly developed the formation of rolls of membership in the schools. The Northern Wairoa League had former! 16 clubs in the schools. New clubs had also been started in Auckland, including two for girls. Mr. Cutten said the Auckland League was receiving great support from -citizens. Active interest -was evinced in the work by the Victoria League, Rotary Club, the as well as the Mayor of Auckland, Mr. J. H. <!unson, also by the Governor-Genrrral and Lady Jellieoe. Mr. Ciitten als<r referred to the good work of the organisi in;; secretary. Mr. If. W. Stebbing, whe put his whole energies into bis work. ' On the motion of Rev. S. A. Goldstein, Mr. E. C. Cutten was re-elected president unanimously. A high tribute was paid by the- mover to the splendid work done by the president on behalf of the ■ young people. Other officers -were k appointed as follows;— Messrs. .T. H. Macky and E. ('. Purdie, vice-presidents; Dr. 0. E. Maguire, hon. medical adviser; Messrs. C. T. Diekenson. lion, treasurer; Mr. 11. YV. Stebhing. organising secretary: Mesdamcs X. K. Ferner and Paxton. Revs. Frederic Warner and C. A. B. Watson, Messrs. -I. Stoivart and .T.
