An inquest was held by Mr. J. K. Wilson, S.M.. yesterday, and the evidence showed "that Mr. B. .1. Durncy was pacing the he-use between 1 and 2 p.m. on Angu.i 4, when a baker standing outside the gate asked him to lend assistance in connection with a man who bad met with an accid. nt. Tliey went to tlie back and found Mr. Hopkins lying on ihe floor of flic porch. He was then conscious, and said that the scaffolding had given way a,nd he had struck his head as tiie result of the fall. His face was covered with blood and his scalp was torn. He complained of a pain in his neck. Mr. Durney telephoned for medical assistance. Dr. J. R. Clos s stated that he was called to see Mr. Hopkins and found him to be suffering from an extensive scalp wound on tlie right side of the head. He was then unconscious. Witness attended to him and visite-d him daily. He was processing w-ell until August 11, when he developed symptoms of lock-jaw and died on Saturday. A verdict in accordance with __» medical evidence was returned.
