SOUTH AFRICAN VETERANS.

The South African War Veterans' Association held the adjourned annual meeting on Wednesday, Major E. G. Fraser presiding. It was agreed to ask the Governor, Lord Jellicoe, to become patron. Vice-patrons were elected as follows:—Colonel H. R. Potter, Lleut.Col. J. E. Duigan, Lieut.-Col. J. Hardie Neil, Captain F. Colbeck, and Mr. Claude L., Jewell. The suggestion that the nainc of Tasman Sea be altered to Anzac was discussed and the meeting unanimously decided to endorse the proposal. The chairman, also the hon. sec, Mr. J. F. Jackson, refrained from voting on the ground that they took part in the landing at Gallipoli.
