INDEPENDENT ADVISORY BOARDS, (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. Reviewing conditions, the Minister of Lands is not yet able to announce the names of those who will advise the Gov* i ernment upon conditions at soldier set" i tlements, as a large number of a.ooint> I uiems are requirea. mere are eleven land districts, and as knowledge of local conditions is required to deal with tho I case of each settlement on its merits the j Minister will require -to have two I advisers in some districts, while one will jbe sufficient in others. These advisers 1 will be independent of Land Boards, but i will have access to necessary official I information, reporting to the Wellington I Advisory Board, which has been controlj ling soldiers' settlement under the Hon. ,D. H. Guthrie's direction. Thus there i will not be a new Board in the ordinary sense of the term, but a series of qualiI fled local advisers throughout the j Dominion.
