EDENDALE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
The anneal meeting of the auove chm-ch was presided over by the Rev. J. D. Mackenzie, D.D. There was a fair attendance. The Communion Roll showed a membership of 117. an increase of 13. with an average attendance at communion service of 76. During the year the Rev. J. D. •McKenzie had been inducted to the charge, and was quickly becoming familiar with the place and the people. There was a general feeling that his labour would soon bear good fruit. The managers' report stated, among other things. that considerable attention had been paid to the improvement of the property, the manse renovated, and a fund started for the purchase of a new organ. The treasurer's report showed the income to be _">-7. Collections accounted for £219. Same £S1 had been contributed to missions: manse renovation. _*T1 : leaving a small credit balance. The S.S. report showed 224 scholars and 21 teachers and office-bearers on the roll, an increase of 46 scholars and 6 teachers. Reports from Y.W.8.-C., J.Y.W.8.C., P.TY.M.F., and Ladies' Gnild showed thai they had all been busy during the year, and were in a healthy condition. The Youn* Men's Bible Class, with the assistance _J the ladies, had raised some £30 for the lining of tlie church haU. The timber wa» now on the ground, and it was hoped that the work, voluntary labour, would soon be complete. The choir were than—ed far their valuable assistance and reg___ attendance. Appreciative reference was made to the able and efficient manner in which the Rev. G. M. Macdonald had _ttried out his duties while interim moderato—. A vote of thanks to the Ladies' Gufld and Manse Committee was carried by acclam_tion. The following were elected to th* board of managers:—Miss Stewart, Messnv ■Martin, May, Murray, and Scn_r_ The meeting closed with the Benediction.
