OBITUARY.
. MRS. MARY MITCHELL. A resident of New Zealand for over half a century. Mrs. Mary Mitchell, died this morning in her eightieth year. Deceased was married to the late Mr. Chas. Mitchell at the Cape when 16 years of age. The couple arrived in Wellington iby sailing ship over 50 years ago. For some time they resided at Palmerston North. Deceased was for years a nurse in maternity ca=cs residering in Pom-pa-llier Terrace. Ponsonby. She was for a while resident at W>n£ranui and returned to Auckland about three years ago. Mrs. Mitchell retained her faculties right up to the end. She is survived hy three son?-, four daughters, eight grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren.
