COLOMBO, July Ml. At Ihe sales -prices- for good sorts ami dusts were well maintained, hut poor classes showed a downward trend, and fell half an annj to an anna. BUTTER AND EGGS. Kgzs have come in very .freely since last report, and the price has been reduced 2d per rloaeii. The retail quotation is now 2/4 I*. 2-lt per dozen. Butter shows no change in price on the local market since last report. The position of the market at the present time is that butter in freezer ready for shipment is at a high premium as against offers for September shipment. This-is due to the fall that has taken place in the London market on account of the large quantity of Danish make that has been .sent across. Evidently it is expected that the present weakness of the Loudon market is of a temporary nature. FERTILISERS MARKET. AUCKLAND.
