( abinet was defeated in the Chamber iof Deputies to-day on a no-confidence j motion stating that il had failed to I secure domestic peace, the voting being L'SS to XXI. I Speaking in the Chamber before the [vote was taken. Signer Facta said that the (lovernmcnt had come into power when riots and disorders were prevalent. | Orderly conditions had been established ! for a time, but latterly there had been j a recrudescence of violence. The Covcrnlr.ont intended to carry out the work of ! pacification, but there would need to be i severer application cf the law. After I tin- vote the Premier saw the King, and announced the resignation of Cabinet. Violent scenes between the Fascistis .ami the Socialists throughout the counitry arc leading to strikes and other i troubles. The Fascistis burned down ithe Labour Exchange at Xovara, occupied by their rivals as their headquarters.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.) GOVERNMENT DIFFICULTIES. A FASCISTI -WARNING. (Iteeeiveil 12.30 p.ni.i ROME. July -20. The Facta (Jovernment, like that of Signor Ciolitti's and Signor Bonomi's, was sacrificed by Fascisti and Socialist disturbances. It seemed likely to weather the storm, but continuance of the disturbances decided its fate. Italy's salvation lies in the hands of the little Fascisti. Popular, and Communist clubs in every village, not. in the. hands of the Chamber. The only thing for the Government to do unless a military dictatorship is established is to lessen the opportunities for conflict. The people alone tire able to terminate it. The most significant speech in the Chamber was made by Signor Bussolini, leader of the Fascisti, known as the ••Italian Napoleon," who warned the Chamber that if the new Ciovornment acted against the Fascisti they would violently resist.— ("•Times.") -
