It ha* been j ruled by the .Supreme Court that the Act jof last session placed soldiers on the I same footing as ordinary tenants. The effect of the Act wr.s certainly a surprise to members of Parliament, and it is definite that some form of protection i will bo restored. Although the proposal is taking shape it is nol yet in tinal form.
