FOREIGN EXCHANGE CHAOTIC.
HARK DOWN TO 2400. , ((Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 7. Foreign exchanges are in a chaotic condition to-day. The German mark reached 2400 to-day, and at the close of the Exchange was quoted at 2300 as compared with 1P75 on July 3. The franc sharply depreciated to 55.80 cents as compared with 52 to 90 on July 3, and the Belgian fell to 50.70. The Italian lire was weak at 102, and closed at 100. —(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
