. I AWAKENING TO TIIEIIi INTERESTS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.! HAMILTON - , this day. The Waikato Poultry Club held the tirst of its monthly educational meetings this week, when there was an attendance of sixty-one poultry-keepers. Judging by the enthusiasm shown the club a long-felt omission will be filled in the Waikato. and should prove of great value to the industry. The meeting consisted of a series of lecturettes by members of the executive, followed by the asking and answering of questions, a great .leal of valuable information being thus gleaned by those present. The meeting , decided to enter an emphatic protest against the very high profits which it was. considered grocers of the district were making iv charging consumers 6d per dozen more for eggs than the producer received, the uipetinir being of the opinion that this was in excess of the profit made by the producer.
