BABIES TOO WEAK TO LIVE.
■Asked to explain the excessive Infantile mortality, Dr. Steevens, the Medical Officer of Health, told the Grlmsby Health Committee that of the deaths during April fifteen were children who were too weak to live.
They were, borne weaklings, because the mothers, through distress caused by unemployment, were not properly nourished.
"It's a disgrace to our civilisation," com. mented Councillor Osmond.
