RATHENAU'S MURDER.
DISCOVERY OF THE GANG. THROUGH A LOVER'S LETTER. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 12.30 p.»».) BERLIN, July 2. A lover's letter led to the arrest of Dr. Rathenau's murderers: — "We will go out to-night; do you get mc, dear? We will meet at eight o'clock at the main entrance to Luna Park; let mc know." Signed, Hermann Fischer. This was wTittcn by Fischer to the housemaid of a small boarding-house in Berlin. Fischer did not keep the appointment, but instead went drinking with his accomplices in the murder. The housemaid, piqued, returned home in disgust. Next morning she read of the murder, thought that her unfaithful lover might be one of the men, and communicated with the police. Fischer's rooms were searched, and papers n"\ vealed his identity. As a result the police offered a million marks' reeward for his arrest.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
