Monaghan is now first mate ef the ketch Bira, replacing Mr. H. Burke. Bouto is to sail to-morrow for Tauranga. NIAGARA AT SUVA. Niagara arrived at Suva at 5.30 a.m. on Saturday from Auckland, en route to Vancouver, via Honolulu. H.M.S. CHATHAM'S RETURN. H.M.s. Chatham, wbien has been absent from Auckland some time, having made a cruise of the Pacific Islands and then to the Chatham Islands, from Wellington, is to return to Auckland this week. She leaves Wellington to-morrow, and should arrive on Thursday. FLORA DELATED BY WEATHER. Owing to strong winds and rough seas the Flora is being delayed on her voyage from Rarntonpa tj Auckland, and is not evening. This will' necessitate a postponement of her sailing until noon on Friday. CARGO FROM NEW TORE. The C. ana D. IJne advise that their new steamer Port Canrphell is to take the leading berth at New York this month for Australasia, and Trill clear on July 26 for Auckland, Wellington, Lytteltou. Diinediu, and Australia, on her maiden vqyage. ARAWA OX THURSDAY. More recent advices from the Sbaw, •Savin, and Albion Company's head office at Wellington statp that the Arawa will be disnatched from that port to-morrow for ; Auckland, where she will he due on Thursday, to complete discharge and commence loading iHomeward. RIKA'S MOVEMENTS. The Nobel ketch Rira completed discnarse of southern rarco to-aay. and loads a cargo of sleepers lor Whangarei, sailing about Thursday, and returning next -week probably with a load of cement. On the arrival of the Westmoreland, about the ■Jls.t inst.. the Rira -will load transhipments of explosives for the souiu. ARAHURA AT AUCKLAND. Arahura arrived this morning from Gist>orne. and berthed .it the Queen's wharf. She experienced fine weatiicr on Her trip clown the coast, but moderate northwesterly winds prevailed on the return. At Glsborne she was unable to lighter passengers on Saturday night, owing to the adverse state of the tides, consequently being delayed until Sunday morning, and delaying her arrival at Auckland. Tomorrow the Arahura will sail at 11 a.m., iv order to take advantage of the tides. CANADIAN HIGHLANDER IS PORT. TUe Cnadian Government steamer Canadian Highlander, 3370 tons (Captain R. .T. Fisher), arrived last night from Vancouver. and anchored in. the stream. Sue was granted pratique this morning, and berthed at 8.30 at the eastern side of the Queen's whar/. She left Vancouver on May 31 for Victoria tf> complete cargo, thence to Honolulu for bunkers, continuing on June 13. Fine weather was experienced during the voyage until Saturday night, when it began to blow hard from the west south-west with a heavy sea and squalls, which continued until the steamer was well within the slelter of the land. She has aboard a full cargo of lumber and general merchandise, the lumber being British Columbia pine, in sawn pieces, some of tbe Auckland piece's measuring about 500 super feet. From Auckland the Canadian Highlander will proceed abont Wednesday to Sydney. Melbourne and Adelaide to complete discbarge. HUIA PASSED CAPE BRETT. Referring to the article on "Clipper Ships," which appeared in Saturday's supplement, the Nobel Explosive Co.'s auxiliary schooner Huia is there reported as making the passage Iron) Sydney to Kaipara Heads in 4 days C hours. Two more noteworthy performances have now been added to her list of achievements. She made the passage from Westport to Melbourne a few weeks ago in 7 days 4 hour*, and now, on the return voyage from Melbourne to Auckland, she passed Cape Brett at 3 a.m. to-day, being a little more than 8} days out from the Australian port. Captain H. E. Lane is in command, and the schooner is coming to the agency of Messrs. E. Porter and Co. with a cargo of general merchatidise, which will be discharged at the eastern side of the King's wharf. On completion of discharge the Huia will load timber fo» Melbourne, sailing about Monday next.
