ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
V CHURCH PARADE. The annual church parade of the Auck!J nd branch of the Order of St. John of •Jerusalem was attended bv about 150 Members, who attended a special service a t St. Matthew's Church. The' Rev. C. If. Grant Cowen referred to the death of Field-Marshal Sir Henry whose greafc'-servicos to his county had won for him great esteem. The !«t upon which the sermon was based »'« "But 1 am among you as he that servoth'.'' The preacher said sacrifice service were two things emphasised JJ tiie life and teachings of the Master. These ideals were responsible for the institution of the Knight Hospitallers J" tiie days of the Crusades, an Order 'hat protected and helped Christian Pilgrims. To-day the St. John. Order f s doing equally splendid work amongst sick and suffering. The work of the •Wer during the late war would never 115 '°rgotten. The olfertory was iu aid of the Ophthalmic Hospital of the Order.
