David Davis, a passenger from Hamburg, was charged at Orimsby with smuggling 100 bottles of cocaine concealed in the false bottom uf a trunk, and was remanded, bail being refused. One account described Davis as an Australian, and another that he was en route to Australia.—(A. and X.Z. Cable.) LONDCN INSURANCE FRAUDS. REPORTED ARREST OF BEVAN. VIENNA, .lune 111. Detective.-, after a struggle in a hotel bedroom, arrested a man suspected of being (lerard Lee Bevan. who is wanted in connection with the alleged City Equitable Insurance frauds.
