THE LONDON' MARKETS. LONDON. June 15. RATES OF DISCOUNT. Short loans, 2 per cent, as against 2} per cent last week; three-month bills, 2$ per cent, as against 28 per cent last week. CEREALS, PULSE, SUGAR. Wheat cargoes are firm, owing to rumours of damage to the spring crop in North America, coupled with Brm Plate advices. Sellers are asking 6<l to Od advance, but the consumptive demand is quiet. The spot trade is dull, aud prices arc easier. Australian, ex ship, is quoted at 56/. 'Flour is quiet, Australian, ex store, is qloted at 42/ to 43/. Barley, oats, beans, and peas are quiet, and prices are unchanged. Sugar, granuluted. is quoted at 50/3. Lead imports during May totalled 13,860 tons, of which 6085 tons came from Australia. Exports totalled 3794 tons.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
