THE TABLE OF IMAGES. Once upon a time there lived a Prince whose name was Tal. He was very adventurous, and was always Jooking for some now thrills.
One day he set out in a rowing-boat to an island called Coral Island.
In his early boyhood he had heard that on this island there was an enchanted castle, inhabited by a wizard.
When the island —a pp-eat. looming mass of rocks—grew near, he thought he felt a chill pass through him. Soon he was there. He landed, and started to tramp to the middle.
There was the castle, nnd, as ho came up to the door ho remembered he had never thought about keys. He had only one bunch with him. What was he to do?
Well, the first thing that struck bim was to try the keys ho had, and, luckily, one of Iliem fitted.
Soon he was going along a corridor adorned with gold and diamonds. Ry-and-by he came to a door with a key in it. Ho opened the door, and, lo and behold! ho saw a table with stone images sitting round it.
There was only one cupboard in the room. lie went over to it and opened the door, and found a lot of bottles in it. Each one had a label on it, saying: "Pour a little of mo on each of the images."
Ho did this, and each of tho images came to life.
fine of them was a wealthy prince, who gave Hal a great reward for taking away the spoil, and he lived happily over after.
FISHING. •Timmy went out fishing and took a little nail. What's that for?'' said Daddy. "Going to catch a whale?" .fimmy was quite serious. "Rather, if T can!" But—a crab caught .Jimmy, and back home lie ran! THE YOUNG GIRL OF QUEBEC. There was a young girl nf Quebec. Who said, "How I wish I'd the nock Of a swan or giraffe. .lust to make people laugh; We're such a dull lot in Quebec!"
How is it poss-i-ble to jump as higb as the moon ? Re-cause the moon can-not jump at all.

What islands produce the best singers?— The Canaries. When is a chair ill-treat-ed? When it is caned.
