THE FINAL MATCH FOR THE ENGLISH ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CUP WAS PLAYED THIS YEAR BETWEEN HUDDERSFIELD TOWN AND PRESTON NORTH END AT STAMFORD BRIDGE. THE FORMER TEAM WINNING BY THE ONLY GOAL SCORED DURING THE MATCH.
