WILD DOG'S RAVAGES.
DECIMATING THE FLOCKS. (Received 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. A deputation from West Darling asiked the Minister of Lands for protection against wild dogs. One speaker stated that the number of sheep in the three largest districts of the North-west was 1,250,000 in 1011 and 271,000 in 1920, the decrease being primarily due to wild dogs. The deputation requested that £50,000 be set aside for main fences to be built and others repaired; that the necessary netting should be made available for private fences on easy terms, and a Wild Dog Act should be introduced. The Minister promised that Cabinet would investigate the matter.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
