TAKAPUNA TRAMWAY CO.
An extraordinary general meeting of the Takapuna Tramways and Ferry Company. Ltd.. was held yesterday. Sir EMwln Mitchelson. chairman of directors, presiding. The principal business was confirmation of a resolution passed at the annual meeting on May.3o providing for the amendment of the articles of association giving the directors power, with the consent of a meeting of the company, to issue partly paid-up shares by way of dividend, conditional uf-.-'U shareholders applying for the shares and accepting liability for the remaining amount of them. Afier the resolution had been oonflrmed the directors were authorised to declare a dividend of 2/ per share, subject to the provisions of the resolution, payable on or before .Tuly 13 to shareholders applying for and accepting the issue of one share for every four shares held I>y them, and paying 8 for each share applied for. The directors subsequently declared a dividend in accordance with the decisions arrived at.
