CLIMBING EVEREST.
HEIGHT OF 26,700 ft REACHED. LONDON, Juno 9. In connection with the Everest expedition, Dr. Bruce reports that Messrs. Morehead, Somervill, and Norton, 011 May 20, camped at a height of 25,000 ft. Nest day they reached 26,700 ft without using oxygen. They descended to the camp on May 22.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
