Lenin had a second paralytic stroke on Monday night. A OJerraan specialist, Dr. Forster, declares his condition most serious, and perhaps will terminate fatally. It is understood that Trotsky has assumed the leadership. The extremists are rapidly gaining ground. The Moscow International executive is meeting to discuss the new position.-—("Times.") A CRISIS DEVELOPING. ! WILL AFFECT Al> EUROPE. NEW YORK, June 8. The "Chicago Daily News'' states that cables and private advices declare that Lenin is absolutely eliminated from the Russian situation, and a crisis 19 developing which must inevitably affect entire Europe. Brain trouble, a paralytic stroke, or an acute breakdown Is taking Lenin out of the situation, if not out of the. world. In any event, his active career has ended; no one has yet appeared who is ready to take up Lenin's policy of slow hut steady reconciliation with the other Powers of Europe.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.) WILL FALL IN SIX MONTHS. UNLESS FINANCIAL HELP COMES. (Received 10.30 a.m.) PARIS, June 0. According to the Rome correspondent of the newspaper "Matin," intercepted correspondence with the. Soviet and its representative in Italy has disclosed that the latter recognises that the Government will fall within six months if it does not received financial help.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
