. Mr. Colin R. Colquhoun, of Melbourne, has arrived in Auckland. ' Mr. W. C. Wedderspoon, of Christ-j church, is a visitor to Auckland. I Mr. William Berry has resigned from | "Hansard" staff after many years', service. Dr. Eric Luke, formerly of the staff j of the Wellington Hospital, has arrived c in England for a course of study. ! Mr. R. W. McVilly, general manager j of railways, who has been seriously ill, is showing signs of improvement. Messrs. John Alexander, G. W. Sanders, and E. B. Vaile have been appointed trustees of Auckland Savings Bank. Mr. J. M. McDonald, and Miss McDonald, of Christchurch, are at the Grand Hotel. The Hon. VV. Xosworthy, Minister of -Agriculture, has returned to Wellington from the South. The Hon. G. J. Anderson, Minister of Labour, has also returned from the Taranaki district. Mr. H. W. Johnson, technical inspeo-; tor for the North Island, will visit Tauranga, Auckland, and Mangonui, to in- '< vestigate building, drainage, and other' matters for the Department of Health. [ Sir Arthur Worley, C.8.E., a well-' known London financier, arrived by the Niagara vrsterday, accompanied !>y i Miss Worley, and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Before leaving the Dominion in about a fortnight's time, Sir Arthur will visit Rotorua and Wellington. The visit is mainly for business reasons.
