TE AWAML'TU DISTRICT. A deputation from the Te Kuiti Borough Council and the Otorohanga Town Board waited on tlie Te Avrnmu'tu .IClertrie 'Power Board, in accordance with a suggestion put forward by the Minister of Public Works, to ask that the present power district should be extended southwards so as to incorporate the southern centres. Proposals in this connection were, thoroughly discussed, after which committees were appointed to further the negotiations. The Power Board decided that the power reticulation should be so planned as to provide power.for every settler — even iliosc whose properties are isolated in the constituted district.
