LATE RACING.

EIXERSLIE TRAINING NOTES. MISHAP TO LOCHELLA. FALLS WHILE SCHOOLING. The weather was fine for training opera, tions this morning, but a heavy dew left the tracks wet. • and they were on the heavy side. Most of the work was done on the-No. 3 grass, but several used the sand, the tasks as a whole being more of the useful than sensational order. The work was as follows: — ON" THE GRASS. Before breakfast Raeefui and Marble 6lab were the only ones to go fast, the pair galloping six furlongs in 1.17 4-5, finishing together. After the interval Tβ Akitai was first out spurting four furlongs in .">:! 2-."s. Ginger Mick, alone, sprinted five furlongs in 1.7 2-5. Election and Doric coverod a round, run. ning home the last six furlongs in 1.25. Jolly Princess was not on a time making errand to ruu six furlongs in 1.26 4-3. Golden Dream and Loyal Irish moved freely over six which they left behind in I.JJ, Canowindra had a bit the better of Soulterina over four furlongs, run in 335. Arch .Salute and Fine Arch did strong work, but were not timed. Merry Times showed more pace than Wish Wynue over six furlongs, the last five of which were covered in 1.7. Boonierday pleased better than Reretoa over six furlongs, covered In 1.21 2-5. Mangawhero and Lady Patience finished up the Inst three furlongs of a live furlong sprint in 39 1-os. Kconotnic and Lady Kouge galloped six furlongs, the las-t die of which took 1.7 3-5. Killard did strong work, running home the last three furlongs in 41 'l-js. No Bother and Totara Jack covered a couple of rounds at a strong pace, takinj 37s to cover the last four furlongs of the journey. Irish Knight, alone, took 1.27 to traverse six furlougs. Bitholia sprinted five furlongs in 1.7. Right and Left and 'Battleplane spurted four furlongs in 575. Lady Tolly galloped six furlongs, the last five taking 1.6. Quintillian pleased better than Pnkeora and Depredation over four furlougs, run in 52 4-r>s. Ohiti, sfione, sprinted five furlongs in 1.6. Gold I'lane and Prince Carl covered a round at a good sound working pace, running home the last live furlongs in 1.12. Grand Canyon covered a round, the last six furlongs taking 1.28 2-5. Glen Canuy and Gold Jacket did useful I work over a couple of rounds, spurting the last four furlongs in .17 I'-os. General Advance and Cartoon covered six furlongs at a good three-quarter pace. A number of others also exercised. THE GRASS. Broadwood was the only one timed to go fast on the sand, galloping six furlongs la 1.23 4-5. THE JUMPERS. The hurdles were up on the outride of the course proper, as well as the brush feucei on the hurdle track. Impudence was schooled over five brush hurdles, which she negotiated without mishap. Bezant, Princess Charming, Blue Cross, and Lochella started off tosether for v schooling gallop over five -hurdles on the outside of the course proper. They got over the lirst all right, then at the second Blue Cross and Princess Charming made faulty .lumps, and lost a lot of ground. The next saw Lochella over jump and come down, at the next Blue Cross toppled over, and at the last Princess Charming came to grief, leaving Bezant the only one to complete the course without mishap. Lochella was afterwards remounted, and jumped three hurdles, fencing well. G. reildiug, the rider of Lochella. A. McMillan, the rider of Blue Cross, and Larsen, the rider of Princess Charming, escaped injury, but on returning to the sheds time to get him back -to his stable. The exact extent of the injuries are not yet known, but it looked as if be was hurt under the arm. Never Despair and Big Ben covered a round of the hurdles on the course proper without mishap. Orauga jumped four o fthe brush hurdles, giving a good display. Obaupo and Whamumuka were schooled over the brush hurdles, the latter going over four, while ohaupo was pulled off after negotiating four. Mary Bruce. Htrmhglass and Daddy's Girl started eff together for a round ol the bU country. Mary Eruce made the pace, and the trie fen.-cd all right null) reaching the first fence on the hill, where Daddy's Girl stepped. Starting at the seven furlong post they went ore* the hill twice, keeping well together through. out. and foncing splendidly. SCRATCHIXGS.
