A BOY KILLED.
KNOCKED DOWN BY MOTOR CAB. A PARXELL FATALITY. As a result of being knocked down by a motor oar in Manukau Road, Parnoll, last night about 10 o'clock, a boy of 12 years sustained severe injuries, and ex- i pi red as he was being taken to the Hospital. Andrew Green, of 15, Shore Road. Remuera, had just alighted from a tram car outward bound at the intersection of Manukau Road and Domain Drive, when he was knocked down by a motor ear driven by Mr. Douglas Dent, of Cornwall Park Avenue, Epsom. Immediate medical assistance was obtained, and the injured boy was speedily removed by Mr. Dent u> tiie Hospital, but death ensued on the journey, enused b? a fracture of ' the base of the fikull. THE INQUEST ADJOt.RNED. The inquest, was formally opened at 1.3(1 p.m. to-day before the Coroner. Mr. j J. \V. I'oyntoi'i, S.M. The Rev. James Ings identified the body us that of Andrew Green, a school boy well known to witness, being a member of his Sunday School class :>t Parnell. Deceased had all his faculties, and was not deaf or short-sighted. Ho always enjoyed good health. The inquest was adjourned sine die.
