EDUCATION BOARD.

THE FORTNIGHTLT MEETING. The Auckland education Boanl met this morning. Present: Messrs. E. C. Banks (•..balriuant. .T. D. McKenr.ie. W. (J. (''snipbell, H. P. TT. tvlnp. .1. 1.. Bonrl. A. Burns. U. A deputation representing settlers uf Brookliy school waited on tbe Board to support a request that the school building should not be moved from its present site. If was decided to defer consideration of I ho matter till next meeting. The Ponsonby District Schools Commits • forwarded a resolution congratulating Mr. .7. Karrell, tbe Board's architect, on his work In connection with the new Curran Street school. Tbe up-to-date facilities. ventilation, lighting, and tbe harmonious design, reflected great credit on lilm and his staff. Tbe Board dealt with a number ..f requests for buildings, sites, etc.. and grants for repairs.
