NORTH AUCKLAND LAND BOARD. At yesterday's meeting of the North .Auckland Land Board fifty applications for - postponement of payment of rent or in- • terest were dealt with. In the majority -" jof cases the Minister was recommended ti> 1 : grant a postponement until the end of tbe ,-! present year. The Board decided that iv ' I all future cases where a postponement was ! ! recommended the applicant be asked for an > order for tie payment of fifty per cent of ! j his bonus due in August, and for a further • i order ou his next year's cream cheques. . ! The recommendation regarding postpone- - i monts only applied to rent and to iusta!- - j ment account interest; the Board did cot - postpone payment of current account in- ; tcrcst unless under very exceptional - circumstances.
