A boy in Sydney was recently killed f in attempting to stop a runaway horse, i Members of the City Council desired to - vote £50 to his relatives in recognition of hie heroic action, but the city solicie tor rilled that the Council had no power ~ to vote money ior such a purpose. If o the boy had been killed accidentally a claim for compensation would have held. (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
